LJ Corp History - Timeline

• 1876 - Leonard Jacob (photo at right) buys the "Santa Marta" Ranch, Live Oak County Texas
• 1877 - Sons William, Leonard and Lawrence spend the early years riding the ranch, and along the way, build the "fine stone house" - the original ranch house on Santa Marta
• 1924 - Leonard Jacob Corporation founded, and is incorporated in the State of New York 
• 1928 - oil discovered on the ranch through the partnership of Jacob, Buzzini and Picket
• 1944 - Corporation sells the Ranch surface rights, but keep mineral rights
• 2002 - 35 acres of land in McMullen County is purchased by the Corporation - the "new" ranch property is named the "LazyJ"
• To date, over 3.5 million bbls of light, sweet crude oil have been produced via the "LOMA" leases
• In 2014, the Corporation celebrates its' 90-year anniversary of incorporation. To recognize this milestone and the corresponding growth and importance of renewable and green energy, the Board adds Calpine Corporation and Brookfield Energy to its investment portfolio.
